Storytime is held at 10 a.m. Fridays for preschool children ages 3 to 5 (though all age groups are welcome) at the Corsicana Public Library. For more information, call (903) 654-4810.
Disaster Action Team (DAT) leaders are needed. The Corsicana branch of the American Red Cross is seeking experienced professionals to respond to local disasters. The branch is looking for individuals who have prior success in various aspects of management and/or have had success in leadership roles within the public and private sector. DAT meets at 7 p.m. the first Thursday of the month at 701 W. Second Ave. Newcomers are welcome, and refreshments will be served. The branch is also looking for residents who can come and assist with client follow-up and data entry of current disaster cases. New Beginnings group of Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 7 p.m. every Monday in the family activities building at First United Methodist Church, 320 N. 15th St. All meetings are non-smoking.
